Today we are in a digital age where the news is limited to 140 characters and conversations take place in the form of emoji’s.
This has resulted in the shortening of our attention span. Now it’s more difficult for us to stay focused.
It is said that our attention span is less than that of a goldfish! (Goldfish, by the way, averages 9 seconds.)
There are, however, ways to improve our attention span – such is unplugging.
Unplug from texts, tweets, Facebook, tv, and other interruptions, if not for the whole day than at least for several hours.
Pay attention to the riches of the world around you in the ensuing silence.
