How to Successfully Reach Your Goals

personality vs character ethics

How does this pic help you reach your goals successfully?

Character – What we are communicates far more eloquently than anything we say or do!

Character is the foundation of all effectiveness!

Our first energies should be on our own character development.

This means before we focus on the techniques (personality ethics) we should focus on how to be effective with ourselves and with others.

This leads to success!

Let’s take for example, integrity…this means honesty & truthfulness – basically doing what you say you’re going to do, right?

If this is apart of your character, you won’t have to think about it, you’ll just do it.

Imagine if you say you’re going to workout 3 days a week….by having integrity you’ll do it!

You may argue that that’s not necessarily the case, but I’ll counter it is!

If you know you won’t be able to do it, then don’t say you’re going to do it!

You know who you are.

If that’s too big of a stretch for you, start with something you can do.

For example: Saying I will workout one day this week.

If you workout more then it’s a bonus!

So what happens when you can’t keep your word? Communicate it!

Tell whoever you told (even if it’s yourself) that you won’t be able to do it – perhaps give an explanation and be more aware the next time you commit to something.

Take baby steps and stop over-stressing your life by making commitments you may not be able to keep.

Focus on your character.
